Last year, I got the great idea to try to participate in the
Breast Cancer 3-Day walk. Sadly, I picked a terrible time to try to do it (I had just gotten married a few weeks prior) and I just couldn't find the time to fund raise. However, my friend Tami DID raise enough money and she walked all 60 miles of the Philadelphia event. I was (and still am) so proud of her!!!
This year, Tami got some terrible news that someone close to her was diagnosed with breast cancer. So, she and her brother are going to be walking together this year as part of their
team, "It’s for the Boobies, Mom" (that is so fabulously Tami for you!!!).
Since I was the one who convinced her to walk last year and bailed on her, I have decided to try to help her out this year. I have created a special line of collars that are
Collars for the Cure. Every dime I make from them will go to Tami's efforts. That means, I am buying the fabric, hardware, shipping - everything out of my own pocket and giving $20 out of $20 to Tami's cause! How exciting!!!
Here are some photos of the
Collars for a Cure (sorry that they are not the best):

Pink ribbon fabric is what every
Collar for the Cure is made from.

Yes! Even the hardware is
pink!
Each collar is $20. I am able to make every size (please note that for the Cat version the hardware is standard black - my apologies).
